About Kalo Subdistrict

Kalo (กาลอ) is a subdistrict of Raman District, Yala. The Land Development Department identifies communities including Ban Bae Ho, Kalo, Thamnop and Talo Mi Yae. Buemang and Yata lie on the northern and western sides, while parts of the eastern boundary meet Rueso District in Narathiwat.

The terrain ranges from flatter ground to rolling slopes, hills and steep mountain country. Natural streams and irrigation channels support local cultivation; named waterways in the land-use plan include Khlong Dusong Palae Nae, Khlong Riang and Khlong Ai Sue Yo. The agricultural and headwater setting should not be confused with Kalong Subdistrict, which has a different Thai name.

Use a specific village or institution to plan the final journey. Hillside tracks and water channels may serve farms or private land rather than visitors. Obtain local directions, permission and current road advice for any countryside visit, particularly after heavy rain or where a route leaves the main road.
