About Ko Lan (Koh Larn)

Ko Lan, often written Koh Larn, is a physical island off Pattaya in Chon Buri. It is administered by Pattaya City in Bang Lamung District. The island is a substantial visitor destination with a resident community, beach areas, food outlets and overnight accommodation.

Tawaen, Samae, Tien and Nual are among its distinct beach areas. They are spread around the island, so the arrival pier is not interchangeable with the beach you intend to visit. TAT describes Ko Lan as a beach destination with food and lodging, making an overnight visit possible as well as a day excursion.

Passenger boats and charter services connect the Pattaya waterfront with Ko Lan. Confirm whether your boat uses Na Baan or a beach landing such as Tawaen, and check the last return for that route. Arrange onward island transport and agree fares locally. Sea conditions can change crossings; follow crew instructions and keep clear of boat channels when swimming. Accommodation, water activities and boat tickets are separate services unless a package expressly includes them.
