About Ko Libong

The island sits within Ko Libong Subdistrict in Kantang District; the administrative area includes other islands as well. Its mix of settled villages, rubber cultivation and coastal habitats makes it a destination for slow travel and nature observation. The non-hunting conservation area and neighbouring marine ecosystems are ecologically significant, but wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.

Hat Yao Pier is a mainland gateway for boat crossings. Confirm the current departure, arrival pier and onward island transfer before travelling. For dugong or bird observation, follow local conservation guidance and use responsible guides: keep distance and avoid disturbing feeding animals or tidal habitats. Tides influence what can be seen along the shore. Homestays and other accommodation should be confirmed directly.
