About Ko Lidi Yai

Ko Lidi Yai is the larger of the two principal Lidi islands off La-Ngu. The pair is part of Mu Ko Phetra’s coastal island scenery. The physical island is separate from La-Ngu Subdistrict, which is its geographic parent.

Setting and highlights

The Lidi group has wooded slopes, coastal rock formations and tide-shaped shorelines close to the mainland. Descriptions of the park station and accommodation on the smaller Lidi Lek should not automatically be applied to Lidi Yai.

Getting there

Local accounts describe boat approaches from Ban Hua Hin, Ao Nun and Pak Bara. Arrange the intended island and landing location explicitly; a trip advertised simply as Ko Lidi may focus on the neighbouring smaller island.

Planning your visit

Walking along low-water shore routes depends on the tide and a safe return window. Confirm whether shore access is permitted and whether any overnight stay is available for the island you are visiting. Lidi Yai-specific facilities and schedules remain unconfirmed.
