About Ko Pha-Ngan Subdistrict
Ko Pha Ngan (ตำบลเกาะพะงัน) is a subdistrict in Ko Pha Ngan District, Surat Thani. This administrative area is distinct from both the entire physical island and the wider district; Ban Tai is a separate tambon on the same island.
Local authority material describes mountainous land, lower western settlement areas and northern communities around Chalok Lam. Phet Phangan and Ko Pha Ngan municipal jurisdictions concern different service areas within the tambon. A March 2026 municipal water notice specifically locates Thong Sala and Ban Don in village 1 of Ko Pha Ngan.
Use the exact village, beach or terminal for travel arrangements. Island-wide visitor advice and district statistics cannot automatically be applied to this tambon. Ferry operations have their own terminals and schedules, while hill and coastal destinations require individual access directions.
