About Ko Sathon Subdistrict
Ko Sathon (เกาะสะท้อน), code 960206, is an administrative subdistrict of Narathiwat rather than an offshore island attraction. Its local development plan describes low land surrounded by rivers, with some higher undulating areas. Che He lies to the north, Khosit to the south and Phron to the west, while the eastern side faces the Tumpat area of Kelantan in Malaysia. The local account connects the name Sathon with santol trees and the original river-surrounded settlement.
Use a named village or local-government address for the final approach. The international riverside setting does not mean every riverbank is a border crossing or a public landing. When arranging community visits, confirm which side of the river and which access road the address refers to. The map point is an administrative reference inside Ko Sathon, not a ferry terminal or immigration checkpoint.
