About Ko Yo
Ko Yo lies in Mueang Songkhla District, within its namesake subdistrict. Unlike an offshore island reached only by ferry, it sits on the road connection across Songkhla Lake between the Mueang Songkhla and Singhanakhon sides.
The two sections of Tinsulanond Bridge connect the island to the surrounding shores. Wat Laem Pho, with its large reclining Buddha near the southern bridge approach, is one recognisable cultural stop; lake views provide a different setting from Songkhla's open-sea beaches.
Road access makes it possible to visit as part of a wider Songkhla trip. Navigate to a specific temple, community or business rather than the general island pin, and allow for safe parking and local road traffic at each stop.
Respect worshippers and dress appropriately at temple sites. Check individual opening arrangements directly: an inhabited island has no single admission ticket or set of visitor hours. Keep access roads and fishing areas clear while exploring the lakeside communities.
