About Mae Wat Subdistrict

Mae Wat (แม่หวาด) is a subdistrict of Than To District, Yala. The Land Development Department's profile describes high mountain terrain, the Bang Lang reservoir area and waterways including the Pattani River and Khlong Mae Wat. Settlements occupy different parts of this broader inland landscape.

Kok Chang municipality is one community area within Mae Wat, rather than another name for the whole tambon. Its official profile places the town on the Yala–Betong highway 410 corridor, on foothill ground surrounded by steep mountains. Khlong Kok Chang runs through the community towards the reservoir and Pattani River system.

Use a specific village, lakeside destination or municipal address when arranging a journey. Confirm any boat, farm or community-visit arrangements with the relevant operator or host; the subdistrict reference point does not identify a landing, trailhead or every approach road.
