About Mu Ko Ang Thong
Ko Wua Talap is associated with the national-park visitor base and a steep panoramic viewpoint, while Ko Mae Ko contains the saltwater lake reached by a separate shore route. The islands belong to Ang Thong Subdistrict in Ko Samui District, Surat Thani, and have no administrative connection to Ang Thong Province in central Thailand. This geographic group is distinct from the exact statutory land-and-sea boundary of Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park.
Arrange a boat excursion and check which islands and shore walks are included. Viewpoint and lake approaches involve steps and exertion; ask about their suitability before committing. Kayaking or snorkelling may depend on the specific operator, weather and park permission. Check the latest monsoon and seasonal-access notices directly with the park before travel, and do not treat the map reference as a departure pier or guaranteed landing.
