About Nong Raet Subdistrict
Nong Raet (หนองแรต) is a subdistrict of Yaring District, Pattani, east of the district centre. Its six villages include Nong Raet, Laem, Bae Ro, Bue Nae Luang, La Nga and Wo Sa. Ya Mu and Piya Mumang lie on its western side, with Talo Kapo to the north.
The Land Development Department describes plains interspersed with higher ground, crossed by Khlong Yaring and Khlong Ya Mu. This is a village and agricultural landscape rather than a single settlement centre. Community-development records also document flooding affecting several villages, making water conditions relevant to local travel.
Obtain a full address and current road directions before visiting. Schools, public services and households have separate entrances, while canals and cultivated land need their own access arrangements. After sustained rain, check local notices and the intended route with your host.
