About Pam Phatthana Subdistrict

Palm Phatthana (ปาล์มพัฒนา), also written Palmpattana, is a subdistrict of Manang District in Satun. It is a wider administrative area containing multiple villages, not the name of one plantation or tourist attraction.

The Land Development Department describes steeper terrain to the north and east within the Banthat wildlife-sanctuary landscape, with flatter and rolling ground to the west and south. Important waterways include Khlong La-ngu and Lam Lo streams. The Royal Development Projects Board records a Khlong Raket water project in Village 9, linked with local farming and household water needs.

Choose a village, farm or managed natural site before planning the route. Forest entry and agricultural visits require the relevant permission, and river or cave activities have separate access arrangements. Check conditions with the responsible local contact rather than using the broad administrative point as an entrance.
