About Phatong Subdistrict
Phatong (พะตง), administrative code 901118, belongs to Hat Yai District, Songkhla. Thailand Environment Institute field assessment describes Kanchanawanit Road as the main corridor towards Sadao and the Malaysian border. The municipal settlement occupies lower ground, while parts of villages 5, 6 and 7 rise into the Khao Reng forest and headwater landscape. Local drainage connects with the Khlong U Taphao basin. This is Phatong in Songkhla, distinct from Patong in Phuket.
Give the village and specific road or institution when arranging a journey. A destination in the uplands requires a different approach from one on the main road. Check current local conditions for travel; the administrative marker is not a highway junction, forest entrance or public-service building.
