About Phrai Wan Subdistrict
Phrai Wan (ไพรวัน), code 960202, lies between Kaluwo Nuea on the Narathiwat side and Sala Mai towards Tak Bai. Its northern boundary reaches the Gulf of Thailand, while Bang Khun Thong lies to the south. This gives the tambon both a coastal and an inland community setting. The Ko Sawat community is documented for woven vetiver-grass products and local household enterprise; it is one village within Phrai Wan, not a separate island destination implied by the word Ko.
Choose the particular village, shoreline location or community activity you want to reach. The administrative office is identified at Ban Kubu, and the Narathiwat-Tak Bai corridor serves the wider area. Arrange craft visits with the community rather than assuming a workshop runs daily. For local travel, use the village address: the tambon map reference is neither a beach entrance nor the Ko Sawat craft-group location.
