About Sai Thong Subdistrict
Sai Thong (ไทรทอง) is a subdistrict in Chai Buri District, Surat Thani. The local authority is based at Ban Song Phraek in Village 2; that village name should not be confused with the separate Song Phraek tambon.
The district's agricultural plan identifies Khlong Trom as a waterway crossing Sai Thong, Chai Buri and Song Phraek. Government agricultural records document rubber and oil-palm production in Sai Thong.
The Department of Agricultural Extension also records a local beekeeping group in Village 3. These are working agricultural communities and organisations, with separate access arrangements. This is Chai Buri's Sai Thong, distinct from similarly named subdistricts elsewhere in Thailand.
