About Takrop Subdistrict

Takrop (ตะกรบ) is a subdistrict in Chaiya District, Surat Thani. District public-health records identify five villages, while the agricultural office's 2026 plan describes extensive perennial cropland alongside areas of woodland.

Community enterprise is also part of local life. In April 2026 the Community Development Department supported OTOP registration for a Muslim women's group meeting in Village 3, drawing members from communities including Ban Huai Phun and nearby Phum Riang.

Takrop lies north of the Thung area of Chaiya. Its villages, agricultural land and community organisations are separate destinations within the wider tambon. Contact the relevant group or institution before arranging a specific visit.
