About Tha Bon Subdistrict
Tha Bon (ท่าบอน) is a subdistrict of Ranot District in Songkhla Province. The local authority records ten villages, including Tha Bon, U Taphao, Rap Phraek and the Sala Luang communities.
Its landscape is predominantly low-lying, with the Gulf of Thailand to the east and agricultural plains inland. The local plan places Khlong Daen to the north and Pak Trae to the south, with Ranot, Ban Mai and Daen Sanguan on its inland side.
The coast and the farming villages form different parts of the same administrative area. For local travel, a village name is more precise than the subdistrict reference point, which does not identify a beach entrance or public facility.
