About Tha Sap Subdistrict

Tha Sap (ตำบลท่าสาป) is a subdistrict in Mueang Yala District, Yala, associated with older settlement on the western bank of the Pattani River. It is distinct from the present urban centre in Sateng.

University historical accounts identify Tha Sap among the earlier locations of Yala's town. Local-government heritage work documents the community's former river-trading and agricultural role through a history-learning project. The river remains an important geographic reference, while today's tambon includes working settlements and agricultural land beyond any one heritage display.

Ask for a named community, street or learning-centre entrance when arranging a visit. Confirm whether heritage displays are currently open and avoid relying on older published schedules. River levels and access conditions can change after rain; a historical landing area is not automatically a current passenger-boat stop.
