About To Deng Subdistrict

To Deng (โต๊ะเด็ง), also transliterated Toh Deng, is a subdistrict of Su-Ngai Padi District in Narathiwat. The local authority recounts a settlement history rooted in forest resources, streams and land suitable for cultivation, and attributes the present name to an early community founder.

The tambon includes Ban To Deng and other villages such as Ban Bue Ra Ngae and Ban Phlong. It is an administrative area rather than another name for the whole To Daeng peat-swamp landscape. A village, public office or particular natural site needs its own confirmed destination; the general map point is not a trail entrance.

Arrange local visits through a host or the subdistrict office, especially if you want to learn about community history. Confirm the road and return transport rather than assuming a station or service carrying a similar name is adjacent to your destination. Forest and agricultural land may require permission, and access should be checked after rain.
