About Waeng Subdistrict
Waeng (แว้ง) is a subdistrict in the central part of the Narathiwat district of the same name. The Land Development Department's September 2023 plan describes mostly upland terrain, with level ground, rolling slopes and steeper western hills. Part of that western landscape lies within the Hala–Bala Wildlife Sanctuary area.
The report identifies local waterways including Khlong Ai Mala, Khlong Che Hem, Khlong Lubo Batu and Khlong Kriyo. Named villages include Ban Waeng, Lubo Dalam, Che Hem, Krue So, Kuwa, Baluka and Kho Lo Ya Tuwo. These settlements help locate addresses within the tambon more precisely than the district name alone.
This page covers the subdistrict, whose boundary should not be confused with the whole district or municipal service area. Obtain directions to the specific settlement, and check access arrangements separately for protected forest land.
