About Ang Thong Subdistrict
Ang Thong (ตำบลอ่างทอง) is a subdistrict of Ko Samui District, Surat Thani. The district agricultural village table identifies Nathon, Takhian, Ko Phaluai, Bang Makham, Laem Din and Hin Lat within its administrative structure.
The national environmental heritage database separately records Ban Nathon as an older community in Ang Thong. The inclusion of Ko Phaluai in administrative records means this tambon should not be treated as only the Nathon waterfront. Its name also needs distinguishing from Ang Thong Province and the protected marine-park area.
Use the actual neighbourhood, island or terminal address for travel. Nathon services and offshore journeys have different departure arrangements. Park admission and transport should be checked with the relevant authority or operator; the tambon's representative point does not locate a particular pier.
