About Chumphon Coastal Islands
This page uses a provincial coastal scope, from the Pathio area south along the Chumphon coast. Forested islands, limestone outcrops and coral habitats support boat trips, snorkelling and diving, while some caves and bird-nesting areas have restricted access. Many visitor sites lie within Mu Ko Chumphon National Park, but the provincial island region and the legal park boundary are not identical. The broader term Chumphon Archipelago can also be used for a much wider Gulf grouping; that wider geological usage is not the scope of this page.
Select the island or dive site first, then confirm the appropriate mainland pier and operator. Routes to the northern Ran islands differ from outings to Ngam, Mattra or Kula, and there is no single arrival point for the entire region. Ask about park permission, nesting-area restrictions and current sea conditions. The map uses a published Ko Ngam Yai reef survey location as a regional reference, not a boat departure or recommended anchorage.
