About Kawa Subdistrict

Kawa (กาวะ) is one of six subdistricts in Su-Ngai Padi District, Narathiwat. The local tourism plan describes predominantly low-lying terrain, with waterlogged areas and peat forest on the eastern side. Highway 4055 is the named approach from the district centre.

The tambon contains villages including Ban Kawa, Ban Sa Ya and Ban Ba Ngo Hu Mo, where the local-authority office is located. Paluru lies to the north, Sako to the south and Ri Ko to the west; Waeng and Su-Ngai Kolok districts are on the eastern side. These boundaries help distinguish Kawa from the town and district around it.

A visit needs a specific local destination rather than one general entrance. Confirm the village and road with your host, and check conditions after heavy rain because the lowland and peat setting can affect minor-road access. Wetland habitat and working land should not be entered without local guidance or permission.
