About Khao Wong Subdistrict
Khao Wong (เขาวง) is a subdistrict of Ban Ta Khun in Surat Thani. The district's official historical account places its civic centre in Village 4 of Khao Wong and links local settlement history with travel along the Phum Duang waterway.
The district public-health office is also based in this tambon. These references distinguish Khao Wong's town and service role from the larger mountainous district and the dam area in Khao Phang.
