About Ko Hae (Coral Island)

Ko Hae is the island marketed as Coral Island south of Phuket, in Rawai Subdistrict of Mueang Phuket District. Beaches, shallow-water snorkelling and boat-based leisure make it a frequent day-trip choice. The island is a geographic destination; individual beach clubs and activity providers on it are separate businesses.

Tourism Authority of Thailand itineraries describe access from the Chalong area and snorkelling stops around the island. Boat packages may include different beaches and activities, so check the actual landing and inclusions rather than assuming that every Coral Island tour follows the same route. Banana Beach services, for example, represent one particular managed visitor area rather than the whole island.

Confirm the weather, return boat and conditions for any water activity before departure. Follow beach and crew instructions, keep out of boat approach lanes, and avoid touching coral. An excursion being available does not mean every activity is suitable for every visitor or safe in all sea conditions.
