About Ko Kaeo Subdistrict
Ko Kaeo (เกาะแก้ว) is a subdistrict of Mueang Phuket, adjoining Si Sunthon to the north, Ratsada to the south and Kathu inland to the west. Its local-authority plan describes lowland terrain between hills and the coastal mangrove environment.
Former mining activity is an important element of the landscape, with old mining ponds and worked ground documented by the authority. Sapam on Thep Krasattri Road is a useful mainland locality reference. Despite the word ko in its name, the tambon should not be treated as one small isolated island; use the actual community or coastal destination for directions.
