About Ko Mai Thon

Ko Mai Thon, often written Maiton or Mai Ton, is an island southeast of Phuket in Wichit Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District. Its beach and surrounding coral areas have made it a stop on Phuket sea excursions. The physical island is distinct from the private tourism business managing access to its facilities.

Landing should not be assumed. Access has been restricted during development, and current public landing and overnight arrangements have not been confirmed. A boat trip that snorkels offshore may therefore be quite different from a visit that includes time on the island itself.

Ask the operator for written confirmation of whether landing is authorised, which beach or facilities are included, and the return arrangement. Do not rely on an old accommodation listing as proof that overnight stays are currently available. Sea and weather conditions can alter an offshore stop even when a boat tour is operating.
