About Ko Panyi

Ko Panyi lies in its namesake subdistrict in Mueang Phang Nga District. A compact limestone landmass rises behind a waterfront community built on piles above shallow water. The island and village are distinct from the wider subdistrict.

Fishing, village walkways and the community's football story give the stop more context than a restaurant visit alone. The mosque and waterfront structures are prominent landmarks, while the floating-pitch story is an established part of local sporting heritage.

Visitors reach the community by boat, often as part of a Phang Nga Bay route that also includes Khao Phing Kan. Confirm the landing and time ashore: a brief lunch stop offers a different experience from a community-led visit.

Ko Panyi is people's home as well as a visitor destination. Dress respectfully, ask before photographing residents and follow guidance around religious and residential spaces. Check arrangements locally rather than assuming that a restaurant booking grants access to every part of the village.
