About Ko Phayam

Ko Phayam lies in its namesake subdistrict in Mueang Ranong District. The physical island is distinct from the wider subdistrict, which also includes Ko Chang and other islands in Ranong's Andaman waters.

Ao Yai and Ao Khao Kwai are two of its best-known beach areas, separated by the island's wooded and settled interior. Accommodation and food businesses are individual operators within this geographic destination rather than identities for the island as a whole.

Boat services connect the island with Ranong. Confirm the actual mainland pier, boat type, baggage arrangements and arrival transfer with your provider. Local roads serve settlements and beaches, but a point in the island interior is not a passenger pier.

Choose your beach base and onward transport before arrival, and check seasonal service changes and sea conditions. Respect village life and private land, keep wildlife undisturbed and follow local advice about swimming conditions at each bay.
