About Ko Phithak

Ko Phithak is a coastal island in Bang Nam Chuet Subdistrict, Lang Suan District, Chumphon. It is a living fishing community rather than a single resort or business. Village life, locally arranged stays and the surrounding sea are the focus of a visit.

The community tourism and agricultural tourism sources describe fishing livelihoods, seafood and homestay activities. Government tourism material also identifies local fabric-dyeing crafts. The rocky coastline and small eastern beach form part of the setting, but visitors should arrange activities with their hosts rather than treating every working waterfront as a public recreation area.

Book a community host and boat transfer in advance, checking the agreed mainland pickup point, meals, rooms and return time. Some sources describe very low-tide walking access; this page does not recommend attempting a crossing without current local guidance. Tide, mud, boat movement and sudden weather changes affect access. Confirm activity availability with the community and respect occupied homes and fishing equipment.
