About Mayo Subdistrict

Mayo (ตำบลมายอ) is a subdistrict in Mayo District, Pattani. The name also identifies the district and its municipality, so their boundaries and statistics must be distinguished.

Government local-information material locates Khao Ruesi in village 2. The hill is associated with Wat Khao Ruesi Plaeng San and a well revered in local religious tradition. The central municipal settlement and surrounding village land therefore offer both administrative and cultural points of orientation within the wider tambon.

Specify the municipal street, village or temple when arranging a visit. Check access to temple buildings and the well with local custodians and follow religious-site guidance. A traditional sacred-water association does not imply that the well is open for unrestricted entry or personal water collection.
