About Pak Nam Subdistrict
Pak Nam (ปากน้ำ) is a subdistrict in Lang Suan District, Chumphon. The local municipal profile places it beside the Gulf of Thailand at the mouth of the Lang Suan River.
River sediment and coastal sand have shaped its low-lying estuary landscape. The Lang Suan River separates this northern river-mouth area from Bang Maphrao to the south; Bang Nam Chuet lies to the north and Laem Sai inland.
The name Pak Nam is used for many river-mouth settlements in Thailand. This record refers specifically to the Lang Suan tambon, rather than Pak Nam in Mueang Chumphon, Ranong or another province. Confirm a specific harbour, community or destination before navigating to the area.
