About Phi Phi Islands
Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le are the best-known members; the group also includes Yung, Mai Phai and the two Bida islands. Limestone cliffs, coves and coral habitats shape the marine landscape. The group belongs to Ao Nang Subdistrict in Mueang Krabi District. Phi Phi Don is the main overnight base, while Maya Bay on Phi Phi Le is a separately managed protected attraction with its own access rules.
Distinguish a ferry transfer to Phi Phi Don from an excursion around the other islands. Confirm your arrival pier and onward accommodation transfer, then book marine outings for the sites you wish to see. Park controls can limit swimming, landing or boat entry at individual bays even when transport to Don operates. Check current Maya Bay and reef notices rather than treating a seasonal closure at one attraction as a closure of the entire group.
