About Sawiat Subdistrict
Sawiat (เสวียด) is a subdistrict of Tha Chang in Surat Thani. The district agricultural office's 2026 framework describes a central plain with higher land sloping down from the west.
Its nine villages include Ban Klang, Sawiat, Sai Noi, Nuea Tha, Laem Son, Huai Rian, Na Wa, Chai Wat and Am Di. These names distinguish farming and residential addresses across the tambon. Agricultural and police sources describe rubber, oil palm, fruit and mixed farming in the local setting, a working community landscape rather than a single visitor estate.
