What you need to know
What has changed
Thai AirAsia’s direct service between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai is now operating daily under its winter timetable, which runs through 27 March 2027. The change increases the route from four operating days each week to seven.
Hua Hin Today reported the expanded schedule on 1 November. The winter timetable began on 25 October 2026, so the daily service is already in effect rather than a future route launch.
The published flight times
Flight FD3900 is scheduled to leave Chiang Mai at 12:50 and arrive in Hua Hin at 14:10. The return service, FD3901, is scheduled to depart Hua Hin at 14:40 and reach Chiang Mai at 15:55.
All times are local Thailand time. The same flight numbers and times appear in MGR Online’s Thai-language report of the transport ministry announcement.
A direct link for the winter season
The increased frequency gives residents and visitors more choice of travel day between the upper Gulf coast and northern Thailand. It also offers an option to travel between the two destinations without changing aircraft in Bangkok.
The announcement attributes the expansion to Thai AirAsia’s winter programme. Department of Airports officials said Hua Hin airport had prepared its facilities and services for the additional frequency.
Check the date before booking
Travellers should confirm availability, departure times, baggage allowance and booking conditions through the airline’s booking channels for their chosen date. A published daily timetable does not guarantee a seat on every departure.
The stated operating period ends on 27 March 2027. These reports do not confirm whether daily frequency will continue beyond that winter season, and they do not announce a new international service from Hua Hin.
