About Balo Subdistrict

Balo (บาลอ) is a subdistrict in Raman District, Yala. Ban Balo in Moo 1 is a named community within it, while the railway settlement and other villages form separate parts of the tambon. The name differs from Baloi in Pattani and from Bala in Yala's Kabang District.

The locality combines lowland cultivation and higher ground, with rice, rubber and fruit among its established activities. Research on the railway-side area describes an earlier trading centre that developed before bridges made river crossings easier. The Anthropology Centre also records Malay language use, family networks and an agricultural identity in Ban Balo.

Choose the particular village or railway destination when planning arrival. A reference point for Balo Subdistrict does not indicate a station entrance or guarantee a passenger service. Confirm current rail details separately with the operator, and arrange community visits with a local host rather than treating fields, homes or religious activities as open attractions.
