About Ko Phaluai
Ko Phaluai is a distinct inhabited island west of Ko Samui, administered within Ang Thong Subdistrict, Ko Samui District. It belongs to the Ang Thong island group, while only part of its land is under the national park's management. Community areas and protected areas should be distinguished when planning a visit.
Fishing villages and coastal bays are central to its character. Surat Thani's tourism material highlights the village at Ao 3, the coast at Ao 4 and the Hin Lak rock landmark. The island has also featured in clean-energy development projects, but that history does not establish a present-day guarantee of uninterrupted electricity or services.
Arrange the boat crossing and your destination bay with the accommodation provider or boat operator before travelling. Confirm meals, drinking water and return transport when arranging a stay. Park excursions or activities in protected parts require separate confirmation; a community booking should not be treated as permission to enter all of Ang Thong National Park. Check current marine weather and the precise landing location.
